Volaris El Salvador will start operations to the United States

.After starting its operations in El Salvador more than 5 months ago with flights to Mexico City, Cancun, and San Pedro de Sula, the Salvadoran subsidiary Volaris continues its expansion towards North America.

The ultra-low-cost airline Volaris’ Salvadoran branch will begin flying directly to the United States in April.

According to Bloomberg, Volaris El Salvador received approval from the United States government to establish direct flights between the two countries.

The Salvadoran airline will operate three weekly flights to New York and Washington, as well as daily flights to Los Angeles.

Starting on April 28, Volaris El Salvador will begin to operate 3 weekly flights from the San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez International Airport (SAL) in El Salvador, to the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.

Flights from El Salvador to New York will be on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Meanwhile, flights from New York to El Salvador will be on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Starting on May 6, Volaris’ Salvadoran subsidiary will fly from the San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez International Airport (SAL) in El Salvador to the Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Washington.

Flights from El Salvador to Washington will be on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Meanwhile, flights from Washington to El Salvador will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Finally, Volaris El Salvador will begin operating on May 13, direct flights from El Salvador to Los Angeles (LAX).

This operation will have daily frequencies both from El Salvador to Los Angeles and from Los Angeles to El Salvador.

Thus, the ultra-low-cost airline is expanding its network between Central America and North America. For this purpose, it is strengthening one of its two Central American subsidiaries: Volaris El Salvador.
