LATAM Airlines to operate to six new destinations in Brazil

-

With the announcement of six new destinations, LATAM is expanding its domestic network in Brazil, starting in March 2022. As a result, the Brazilian subsidiary of Latin America’s largest airline will offer service to 56 airports in the country, which represents the company’s largest domestic network in its recent history.

According to data from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), LATAM has become the leading airline operator in the Brazilian air market in the last four months. The company has already announced the resumption of its operations to Bauru on February 22, 2022, whereas it has also been authorized to start flights to Fernando de Noronha and will soon announce its schedule.

«Thanks to its restructuring process, LATAM became more efficient and competitive, allowing it to regain growth in Brazil. We should start 2022 with 100% of our domestic pre-pandemic capacity already restored and we have never flown to so many airports across the country as we do today. The biggest beneficiary is the passenger himself, who has greater options to fly to all of Brazil,» said Diogo Elias, LATAM Brazil Sales, and Marketing Director.

LATAM continues to explore adding another 10 domestic destinations by 2022. In 2021, the domestic market was the fastest recovering market in Brazil. According to data obtained through ANAC Brazil, between January and November Guarulhos Airport (GRU), LATAM’s main hub, mobilized 17,737,254 passengers, representing a 70.92% recovery from 2019 levels.
