The Special Administrative Unit of the Civil Aeronautics informed JetSMART’s request to operate the Santiago de Chile – Pereira route, which would become its fourth destination in the country.

The route, which would be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, would have seven weekly frequencies.

The Chilean airline presently operates four routes to three cities in Colombia; Bogota, Medellin, and Cali.

Between January and November 2021, Cali was the destination that brought the most passengers: 13,665 on the route to Santiago and 3,597 to Antofagasta. While Santiago-Bogota carried a total of 11,395 passengers in the same period.
