Jetair Caribbean will operate flights between Curaçao and Suriname

Curaçao-based Jetair Caribbean announced that it will operate weekly flights from Hato International Airport (CUR), which serves Willemstad, to Paramaribo-Zanderij (PBM) in Suriname.

The new connection will begin on April 15, 2022, ahead of the northern hemisphere summer season, flights will be operated every Tuesday on Fokker 70 aircraft with a capacity of 80 passengers.

Jetair Caribbean currently serves Medellin/Rionegro (MDE) in Colombia; Port-au-Prince (PAP) in Haiti; Kingston (KIN) in Jamaica; Santo Domingo/Las Americas (SDQ) in the Dominican Republic and Philipsburg (SXM) in St. Maarten. All connections are served on its two Fokker 70s with registrations PJ-JAB and PJ-JAC.

The company will have to compete with Suriname Airways, which has a weekly flight (Thursdays) with Airbus A320 aircraft via Port of Spain (POS), in Trinidad and Tobago.
