Breeze schedules its new A220s on 17 routes

-

Breeze Airways, David Neeleman’s startup, plans to announce new and long-haul routes with its new Airbus A220s in the coming weeks, yet travelers will have the opportunity to fly on them on 17 existing routes this summer, replacing the existing Embraer E190/E195 operation.

Flights will be available from May 4, as the airline extends its booking window to September 6, 2022. Breeze will introduce promotional «Nicest» fares on first-class seats on A220s for just USD 99.

The «Nicest» fare is not available on all flights and must be purchased by January 25, 2022.

Breeze placed an order for 80 Airbus A220s, the airline has already taken delivery of the first aircraft and expects to have 15 of this model by the end of 2022. At the beginning of its operation, the company started flying a fleet of Embraer aircraft previously owned by Air Canada and Azul Linhas Aéreas.

Customers who have selected the «Nice» and «Nicer» fares through the company’s app or website, when booking a flight on the A220-300 will have a new «Nicest» fare option, which will offer the combined services in addition to the First Class seat.

The «Nicest» fare includes checked bags, one carry-on bag, and one personal item, plus they will receive 6% BreezePoints. Fresh food will be brought in on long routes, plus the A220-300s will be equipped with the technology needed to stream TV or movies, check mail, surf the Internet, or access social networking and messaging services during the flight.

Breeze’s A220-300s will be equipped with between 12 and 36 seats in First Class, in a 2-2 configuration, with 39 inches of space between seats, 20.5 inches of seat width, and footrests. All seats are equipped with USB ports for charging.
