Avianca launches new routes to Mexico and resumes flights to Madrid

Avianca has announced the launch of the new international non-stop routes Medellin-Mexico City and Cali-Mexico City, as well as the resumption of its direct flights between Medellin-Madrid and Cali-Madrid.

As a result, Avianca will operate 8 flights with more than 1,200 seats per week on the Cali-Mexico City-Cali route; and 6 flights with more than 900 seats per week on the Medellin-Mexico City-Medellin route. These routes will be operated on A320 family aircraft with a capacity for approximately 150 customers.

With respect to flights to Spain, the airline will resume 8 flights with more than 2,000 seats per week on the Cali-Madrid-Cali route and 6 flights with more than 1,500 seats per week on the Medellín-Madrid-Medellín route.

We will continue to focus on providing our customers with more direct connectivity, with fewer stopovers and more time to enjoy their trips. Mexico closed in 2021 with more than 30 million tourists and Spain with more than 15 million. We want to take Colombians to the destinations they love the most and also boost the arrival of visitors to our country and its regions».
