American Airlines to increase flights to Rio de Janeiro

American Airlines currently has one daily frequency between Miami and Rio de Janeiro on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, configured with 234 seats in three classes.

The airline offers 1,638 weekly seats connecting the two cities. American Airlines is the only carrier with operations on this route.

In response to an increase in demand, the airline will double its flights between Miami and Rio de Janeiro starting February 3rd. These new operations will be carried out with 273-passenger Boeing 777-200(ER) aircraft.

According to the booking system, American’s 14 weekly services between Miami and Rio de Janeiro will be available during February. The current daily service will return in March.
