Last Friday, a Brazilian delegation participating in FITUR 2022 in Madrid met with representatives of Iberia and the Ávoris Group.

The topics raised during the meeting were the increase in flights to Brazil, joint promotional campaigns with Embratur, and the expansion of investments in the country.

As reported by our Brazilian media partner Aeroin, the meetings were attended by the President of Embratur, Carlos Brito, and the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism, which includes the Head of the Special Advisor’s Office, Rafael Luisi, and the Head of the Special Advisor’s Office for International Relations, Ambassador Jorge Kadri.

At Brazil’s stand at Fitur, Embratur and MTur discussed promotional partnerships and the expansion of flights to the country with Iberia. Carlos Brito highlighted the optimism regarding the recovery of tourism. In addition, an agreement for joint promotion in destinations where the company already has routes in Brazil was discussed.

The company pointed out that it should resume, in February, the number of flights to São Paulo with a daily operation and, as of July, three weekly operations to Rio de Janeiro. «Embratur would invest in the promotion of destinations and Iberia would have more flights to Brazil», said the Embratur President.

Afterwards, at the headquarters of the Ávoris Group, in Madrid, the Brazilian delegation met with Johan Tyren, from the Tourism Operations area, and Lisandro Menu-Marque, Expansion director. During the talks, the strengthening of tourism and future partnerships in Brazil were negotiated.
