Venezuela: Avior Airlines resumes international flights from the Orient

-

Avior Airlines reconnects the East of Venezuela through international flights with the inauguration of its new route between Barcelona (BLA) and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ) with two weekly frequencies. Since March 2020, this is the first foreign air operation of General José Antonio Anzoátegui Airport.

Flight Itinerary

  • Barcelona – Santo Domingo Flight 9V 1218 BLA 10:30 – SDQ 12:10 two weekly flights on Tuesday and Saturday operated by Boeing 737.
  • Santo Domingo – Barcelona Flight 9V 1219 SDQ 14:20 – BLA 16:00 two weekly flights on Tuesday and Saturday operated by Boeing 737.

This is Avior Airlines’ second non-stop connection from Venezuela to Las Americas Airport (SDQ), in addition to the daily flight from Caracas (CCS). The airline’s international network also includes flights from Maiquetia Airport to Panama – Tocumen (PTY) with two weekly flights and Cancun (CUN) with one weekly frequency.

Over the last few months, the General José Antonio Anzoátegui Airport received various necessary renovations to its facilities for reactivating flights abroad, and with the restarting of Avior, five cities in Venezuela are welcoming international operations: Caracas (CCS), Valencia (VLN), Maracaibo (PMV), Porlamar (PMV) and now Barcelona (BLA).
