Conviasa resumes flights between Havana and Managua

Finally, following a long period, Conviasa will resume operations between Havana (HAV) and Managua (MGA) on December 15 with weekly flights, thereby complementing the two weekly frequencies it recently resumed to the Nicaraguan capital via Panama Tocumen (PTY).

This route will be operated by Conviasa on 104-passenger Embraer E190 aircraft. In the first phase, tickets will be available only for passengers with rescheduling, which may be done through this link.

As of January 2022, the state-owned company will resume selling tickets to the general public. Passengers flying to Nicaragua will not need a complete vaccination schedule, just a negative PCR test within 72 hours will be required.

The opening of Conviasa to this route will allow the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) to be once again connected to the Caribbean through Cuba, in addition to its connections to Mexico, Honduras, the United States, and Panama.

Important note: the airline has still suspended its flights between Caracas (CCS) and Havana (HAV).
