On December 1, Binter began operations between Gran Canaria (LPA) and San Sebastian (EAS) with two weekly flights operated by 132-seat Embraer 195 E-2s, raising the total number of destinations served by the Spanish airline to 21.

Flight Itinerary
- Gran Canaria – San Sebastian NT5300 LPA 08:30 – EAS 12:35 – two weekly flights on Wednesday and Sunday.
- San Sebastian – Gran Canaria NT5301 EAS 13:15 – LPA 15:20 – two flights a week on Wednesday and Sunday.
Binter offers the only connection to the Canary Islands from San Sebastian (EAS). This airport has a very limited offer to destinations in the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, while British Airways will start flying from London (LCY) in the summer season of 2022.

Figures obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Statistics indicate that from January to October 2021, San Sebastian (EAS) has transported 120,482 passengers which represents a 43.95% recovery compared to the same in 2019, 1,931 kg of cargo an increase of 675.5% compared to the same period before the pandemic and 2,583 air operations.
