Air Canada restarts flights between Montreal and Bogota

On December 2, Air Canada resumed operations between Montreal (YUL) and Bogota (BOG) with three weekly flights operated on 297-passenger Airbus A330-300s. The Colombian capital is the airline’s second South American destination from Trudeau Airport.

  • Montreal Trudeau – Bogota AC98 YUL 21:05 – BOG 03:35+1 – three weekly flights on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
  • Bogota – Montreal Trudeau AC99 BOG 08:35 – YUL 14:45 – three weekly flights on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

El Dorado Airport will have a higher offer to Canada during the month of December than in 2019. Air Canada and its Star Alliance partner Avianca began operations to Toronto Pearson (YYZ) with four and three weekly frequencies respectively. Figures obtained through the Cirium platform indicate that both companies will offer 4,878 seats.

According to the Civil Aeronautics, in 2019 between Bogota and Toronto, 74,623 passengers were mobilized, and between Bogota and Montreal, 38,181 passengers.

Throughout the northern winter season, there will be 13 weekly flights between Canada and Colombia, distributed among Air Canada with 7, Avianca with 3, and Air Transat with 3. The latter will resume operations to Cartagena (CTG) on December 13 from Montreal (YUL) and on December 17 from Toronto (YYZ).
