SKY Peru increases domestic and international flights

-

Since its landing in the Peruvian national territory in November 2019, SKY Airline has consolidated its position as the second most important airline in the country. On the eve of the year-end high season, the company increased its domestic and international operations reaching a total recovery of 82.2%, when compared to the levels prior to the pandemic.

On the last holiday in the Andean country, SKY transported more than 20,000 travelers between October 29 and November 2, demonstrating a healthy recovery in the domestic market.

The company has six Airbus A320neo aircraft based in Lima (LIM), with registrations CC-AZR, CC-AZM, CC-AZL, CC-AZI, CC-AZD, and CC-AZC. The low-cost carrier plans to reach up to nine aircraft before the end of the year. The aircraft has a capacity for 186 passengers, providing 186,600 seats per month at the domestic level as from December, while for the international traffic it will offer 37,600 seats as from January.

As of August 2021, according to the latest data obtained by Aviacionline through the Peruvian DGAC, it carried 787,018 passengers domestically, accounting for a market share of 17.81%, positioning it as the second most important company in the country. Internationally, it transported 41,053 passengers; movement was at a standstill for most of the year due to sanitary restrictions in its main destinations.
