American Airlines resumes flights between Miami and Montevideo

-

Last March the 28th, American Airlines carried out its last operations between Miami and Montevideo. These flights were operated by Boeing 777-200(ER), with a capacity for 273 passengers.

As a consequence of COVID-19, the mentioned route changed from being a regular to a seasonal operation. Until March 2020, the company had year-round flights to the Uruguayan city.

During 2021, Miami and Montevideo were not connected for almost three months, due to American’s suspension. Eastern Airlines began operations to Carrasco Airport at the end of June, and currently has between one and two weekly flights.
