TAR Aerolineas adds a new flight from Hermosillo to Puerto Vallarta

Queretaro-based Transporte Aéreo Regional (TAR) will strengthen the State of Sonora by adding a new direct link to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) from Hermosillo (HMO).

With the objective of restoring the region’s economy and tourism, the company will connect both destinations starting October 18 with three weekly flights.

This new route will increase the connectivity of the State of Sonora from its capital, Hermosillo. TAR currently operates from Hermosillo to Querétaro (QRO), Ciudad de Juárez (CJS), Chihuahua (CUU), Culiacán (CUL), La Paz (LAP), Mazatlán (MZT) and Mexicali (MXL).

«With these additions, we strengthen our presence in the State of Sonora, where Hermosillo ranks as the seventh destination in the volume of passengers transported by air in the Mexican market,» said TAR Airlines in a press release.

He emphasized that Puerto Vallarta is the third most visited beach in the Aztec country, reaffirming its commitment to work closely with the tourism bureaus of the region.

The flights will be operated in Embraer ERJ-145, offering 300 seats per week. The route has no competition from any other airline.

TAR Aerolineas has been focusing on opening routes not served by other airlines since its inception seven years ago, standing out as a regional company operating only with Embraer ERJ 145 with a capacity for 50 passengers, which currently has twelve aircraft.

It currently operates in 21 Mexican cities where it links them in more than 30 routes.
