LATAM Airlines Group Projects 56% Operation for October

LATAM Airlines Group’s operational passenger projection for October 2021 is estimated to reach 56% (measured in Available Seat Kilometers – ASK) compared to the same month of 2019.

The situation seems to be positive especially in Colombia and Ecuador, where domestic operations would exceed pre-pandemic levels, with 105% and 100% respectively (measured in ASK).

According to a press release, LATAM Airlines Group plans to operate approximately 970 daily domestic and international flights during October, connecting 122 destinations in 18 countries.

At the same time, Cargo operations has 1,140 flights scheduled with a utilization level that is 17% higher on average than the same period in 2019.

During September 2021, passenger traffic (measured in Rented Passenger Kilometers – RPK) was 49.9% in relation to the same period of 2019, based on an operation measured in ASK of 54.1% compared to September 2019.

This implied that the load factor decreased 6.4%, reaching 76.1%.

In cargo operations, the load factor was 60.8%, which corresponds to an increase of 7.3% compared to September 2019.
