Ukraine International Airlines to fly to Cancun and Punta Cana

The Caribbean continues to prove to be one of the most important vacation destinations in the world.

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) recently announced its intentions to connect Boryspil International Airport, which serves the country’s capital – Kiev – with two of the Caribbean’s top tourist destinations: Cancun and Punta Cana.

The services, which will be offered in partnership with the tour operator Compass, would be available for the European autumn, i.e. in the next few weeks, and will be operated by two Boeing 777-300 aircraft that are being added to the company’s fleet.

According to statements made by Dmitry Gudziy, CEO of Compass Tour Operator, to the Avianews.com portal, «the two aircraft (to be incorporated into UIA’s fleet) will be designed to carry 426 passengers, in three classes». The partnership between the two companies will generate charter flights to beach destinations, such as Cancun and Punta Cana in the Caribbean, as well as the Maldives, located in southern Asia, over the Indian Ocean.
