The last A380 will be delivered to Emirates in November

-

Emirates, the main operator of the Airbus A380, has only three planes left to be delivered. The last will join its fleet in November, ending the commercialization process of the world’s largest airliner. The last aircraft was originally scheduled for delivery in June 2022 but was brought forward. These deliveries will bring the airline’s total A380 fleet to 118 units.

Tim Clark, president of Emirates, stated in a press release that «we have reached an agreement with Airbus to bring forward the delivery of the remaining A380s». He also added: «Emirates will remain the largest operator of this aircraft for the next two decades, and we are committed to ensuring that the A380 onboard experience remains exceptional.» These three A380s will be equipped with the Emirates airline’s familiar private suites, showers, and in-flight bar.

According to the schedule managed by the airline, and as restrictions are lifted, the A380 will resume operations in October to more than a dozen destinations: Amman, Cairo, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Guangzhou, London Heathrow, Los Angeles, Manchester, Mauritius, Moscow, Munich, New York JFK, Paris, Toronto, Vienna, Washington DC and Zurich.
