OWG Travel launches its first route to Mexico

-

OWG Travel, a subsidiary of the iconic Canadian company Nolinor Aviation, announced on Monday the launch of its flights to Los Cabos, which will mark the company’s disembark in Mexico.

The operations are marketed with packages that include accommodations at the Dreams Los Cabos and Breathless Cabo San Lucas resorts, and initially three dates have been launched departing from Montreal (YUL) on Saturdays, March 13, 20 and 27, 2022.

OWG Travel will offer on these flights for the first time its HIGH Love configuration, which places passengers on the aircraft based on the composition of their group: singles will be in a specific sector called High Zone, couples in another called Love Zone, while families will be in the back of the aircraft (Heart Zone), closer to the toilets and cabin crew.

«We had the pleasure of visiting Los Cabos a few days ago and it was by far the most beautiful scenery in Mexico we have seen. Our selection of destination hotels will warmly greet every customer to make them feel at home, which fits very well with our goal of having travelers at heart,» said Marco Prud’Homme, president of OWG Travel.

Nolinor had announced the launch of its vacation travel subsidiary in July 2020, and went on to operate flights to Cuba last winter in partnership with Caribe Sol / Hola Sol from Montreal and Toronto until the Canadian government tightened restrictions on international travel for tourism, and has since been conducting charter operations within the country.

Its fleet consists of two 156-seat Boeing 737-400s, and last month Prud’Homme had expressed the intention to add a third to shore up its network with the prospect of adding new destinations in Jamaica, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Nolinor is based at Montreal’s Mirabel airport, and specializes in operating cargo and passenger charter flights to destinations in Canada’s far north with a unique fleet of Boeing 737-200 and 737-300 aircraft, most of them in combi configuration.
