Laser Airlines inaugurates flights to Maturín and adds new operations in Panama

The Venezuelan airline will increase its operations in Panama/Tocumen (PTY), and at the same time will inaugurate its services to Maturín (MUN).

Due to the easing of sanitary restrictions in the Central American country, last week LASER added a third weekly flight between Caracas (CCS) and Tocumen International Airport in Panama (PTY).

Prior to this announcement LASER operated on Mondays and Saturdays. With the current schedule, Wednesdays flights are added in the MD 83 configured with 149 seats, thus the route will be offering 894 seats per week.

In addition to Panama, LASER also operates from Caracas (CCS) to Cancun. This will be a weekly operation with one flight only while Santo Domingo (SDQ) will be served with three weekly flights.

Panama has established that, as of September 16, passengers with a complete vaccination schedule approved by the WHO, FDA or EMA (Pfizer, Moderna, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Johnson vaccines) will not be required to take a negative COVID-19 test 14 days after their last dose.

In case the passengers are not vaccinated or had not completed the vaccination schedule, they must present a negative antigen or PCR test for COVID-19, performed no more than 72 hours prior to arrival or a COVID-19 test that can be performed at the Tocumen Airport on arrival, which cost must be covered by the traveler. Those passengers with negative results are exempted from the preventive quarantine.

Passengers under 12 years of age are exempted from presenting the negative COVID-19 test if their parents, guardians or caregivers comply with the aforementioned requirements.

It is important to note that Panamanian airport authorities will require all travelers to present the QR Code, as well as the affidavit of health, which is obtained after registering on the web page www.panamadigital.gob.pa

Flights to Maturín

On August 30 LASER inaugurated operations between Caracas (CCS) and Maturín (MUN). This way this route is now operated by three airlines (Laser, ConViasa and Estelar)

Operations days will be  Mondays and Thursdays on MD 83, offering 596 seats per week.

The airline also currently operates from the Venezuelan capital to Barquisimeto (BRM), Barcelona (BLA), El Vigía (VIG), Maracaibo (MAR) and Porlamar (PMV).
