Ethiopian Airlines plans to resume flights to Buenos Aires

-

On June 7, Ethiopian Airlines made its last scheduled operations to Buenos Aires due to COVID-19 restrictions in Argentina. The carrier had a weekly frequency from Addis Ababa (ADD) and Sao Paulo (GRU), on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Ethiopian Airlines’ operations, in addition to being limited for passenger traffic, were not authorized to board passengers from Sao Paulo to Buenos Aires and vice versa, further reducing their loads.

Initially, in mid-June, the airline was set to return to the Argentine capital with a similar schedule as before the pandemic in November.

According to information obtained by Aviacionline through the  reservation system, the airline plans to resume flights between Addis Ababa, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires as of December 12. Ethiopia’s leading airline plans to operate three weekly flights with the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

Until March 2020, Ethiopian Airlines operated three to five times a week to Argentina’s capital city on the same aircraft.

We have been in contact with the airline to reconfirm the information published in the system, but at the time of publication we have not received a response.
