Copa Airlines to increase flights to Montevideo

From October 4, according to information obtained by Aviacionline from Copa Airlines, the Panamanian carrier will increase its flight frequency to Montevideo. The operations will be carried out mostly by Boeing 737 MAX 9, configured with 166 seats in three classes.

The airline currently operates 13 flights per week between the capitals of Panama and Uruguay. Previously, Copa had two daily frequencies.

With the increase from October, the airline will have 16 weekly flights on the aforementioned route. Copa Airlines will have three days per week with three operations between Panama City and Montevideo.

Copa Airlines will continue to be the company with the largest number of flights to and from Uruguay. In addition, Copa has a hub in Panama City, offering passengers the possibility of connecting to more cities in the Americas.

With this schedule, Copa Airlines will offer 2,656 seats per week between Panama City and Montevideo and vice versa. Currently, with 13 weekly flights, the company has 2,158 seats per leg.

As we reported, Buenos Aires – Montevideo returns on September 14 with Aerolineas Argentinas. On the other hand, Punta del Este starts on September 16.
