Avianca resumes flights to Rio de Janeiro

-

On Thursday, September 2 at 06:47 local time, the first Avianca flight from Bogota arrived in Rio de Janeiro. The airline had suspended operations to Galeão airport since January 2021, as a consequence of COVID-19 and restrictions.

As previously reported, the company will have three flights per week between the cities of Colombia and Brazil. The operations will be carried out on Airbus A319-100 and Airbus A320-200, configured with 120 and 153 seats respectively.

With the return of Avianca, Bogota and Rio de Janeiro are once again connected non-stop. Until the beginning of this year, the airline was the only one to operate this route.
