-

This Tuesday (14) at 09:23 local time the first Aerolíneas Argentinas flight from Aeroparque arrived at Montevideo airport. Operations will be carried out in Embraer 190, configured with 96 seats.

Aerolíneas Argentinas will have two weekly flights between Buenos Aires and Montevideo. The number of frequencies is in line with the current demand, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

With the two operations per week, the airline will offer 192 weekly seats between Aeroparque and Montevideo and vice versa.

This start-up marks the return of operations in an important market in the region. Prior to the pandemic, there were between 3 and 6 daily flights between Argentina and Uruguay, with Aerolíneas Argentinas and Amaszonas Uruguay.

As a consequence of the Uruguayan company’s cessation of operations at the end of last year, Aerolíneas Argentinas will be, for the time being, the only airline operating between the two countries.
