JetSMART to increase flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia

Last July JetSMART Argentina resumed its flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia. The low cost currently has two weekly operations in Airbus A320-200, with a capacity for 186 passengers.

Aerolineas Argentinas and JetSMART Argentina are the only airlines with flights between the Argentine capital and Ushuaia. Prior to the pandemic, LATAM and Norwegian were also operating, but suspended their operations.

As of September 2, JetSMART Argentina will double the number of flights to Ushuaia. Like today, operations will be carried out in Airbus A320-200 aircraft.

With the four weekly flights, the low cost carrier will offer 744 seats per week between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia and vice versa. Aerolineas Argentinas will have more than five daily frequencies between both airports on Airbus A330, Boeing 737 and Embraer 190.

For the time being, the four weekly frequencies will be during September, according to JetSMART Argentina’s reservation system. In October there will be three flights per week, and two from November onwards. Likewise, this schedule is subject to change, as there may be modifications in the frequency of operations.

• Iguazu: 7 weekly flights

• Posadas: 4 weekly flights
• Salta: 7 weekly flights
• Santiago de Chile: 1 weekly flight, in theory
• Tucuman: 6 weekly flights
• Ushuaia: 4 weekly flights

In addition to Ushuaia, JetSMART Argentina will increase its flights to Corrientes and Posadas from Aeroparque in September.
