JetSMART Argentina extends domestic reach with new routes to Comodoro Rivadavia and Jujuy

During a press conference being held this Thursday morning, JetSMART Argentina confirmed that it will fly to Jujuy and Comodoro Rivadavia starting October 14 and 20 respectively. The low cost carrier will have three flights per week to and from Buenos Aires on Airbus A320-200s, configured with 186 seats in a single class.

Indigo Partners’ South American subsidiary, which has recently signed an agreement with American Airlines, has now extended its network to all destinations that Norwegian Argentina had prior to JetSMART’s acquisition.

JetSMART will reach 17 routes in Argentina with the start of Jujuy and Comodoro Rivadavia. In the country’s capital, the company has flights to Bariloche, Córdoba, El Calafate, Iguazu, Mendoza, Neuquén, Salta and Tucumán. In addition, on August 10 and 13, the company will inaugurate two new routes in Buenos Aires, starting with Posadas and Corrientes.

In the case of Jujuy, JetSMART Argentina joins Aerolineas Argentinas and Flybondi to the airlines with flights from there. In Comodoro Rivadavia only Aerolineas operates, with American Jet and LADE with special or charter operations.
