The Mexican justice issues an arrest warrant against the president of Interjet

-

A judge issued an arrest warrant against the businessman Miguel Aleman Magnani, founder of the Mexican airline Interjet, according to sources close to the case who did not confirm the charges against him but which are speculated to be related to a case of fraud.

According to what was reported by the Associated Press, Aleman Magnani is president of the Grupo Alemán, a solar energy company and is the founder of Interjet with his father, a company that faced a significant number of problems before the pandemic and that does not operate since the end of 2020.

The government consumer protection agency indicated that Interjet had been affected by “the suspension of several international routes, the lack of payment to employees, the suspension of their license to operate international air service to Canada and tax levies on their banking accounts, assets and brands,” while issuing an alert warning about the inability of the company to comply with agreements.
