Swissport inaugurated a new base in the United States

-

In July, Swissport began operating a new handling services base at Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas, adding it to the network of 44 airports in which the company provides services in the United States. The first flight to be served on Thursday, July 1, was Aeroméxico´s AM 2686 from Mexico City.

The company will work with its US subsidiary, Hallmark, to provide passenger services at check-in counters and at the boarding gates, while Swissport staff will handle ramp services such as baggage unloading, refueling, aircraft cleaning and pushback.

“The addition of Austin to Swissport’s global airport network, at a time when aviation is finally emerging from the greatest crisis in its history, fills us with pride and joy,” said Frank Mena, Executive Vice President for the Americas.

«It is a strong sign that Swissport is back and ready to support aviation recovery in the US and around the world. As an industry leader, Swissport combines excellent customer service with cost leadership and a global presence to help airlines improve after Covid, giving them the reliability and flexibility they seek,» he added.
