Spirit Airlines started operating to Puerto Vallarta

Spirit Airlines began operating to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, offering several weekly flights from different parts of the United States.

The North American low cost presented its three new direct routes to the Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), joining Los Angeles (LAX) with a daily flight; with the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (IAH) and with the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), through three weekly flights each on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

«We are very excited to officially begin our flights to Puerto Vallarta and to continue increasing our presence in Mexico,» said Camilo Martelo, director of International Airports of Spirit Airlines, about the new routes. «Offering our passengers convenient flights at low prices and to new destinations is what our airline is all about. We proudly welcome our passengers from Puerto Vallarta,» he concluded.

Spirit’s inaugural flights arrived in Puerto Vallarta last Thursday, July 1 and were operated with Airbus A320s aircraft with capacity for 182 passengers.

According to the information obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Spirit will have an offer equivalent to 18,602 seats for this destination during the month of July.

In addition, «the yellow ones» have a total offer of 179,774 seats, also during July, for all their flights to Mexico.

Spirit operates in Cancun, San José del Cabo and now in Puerto Vallarta from 13 US cities.
