Rostec signed deals for more than 3 billion dollars at MAKS 2021

In the framework of the International Aviation Show MAKS 2021, agreements were made for the supply of Russian-made aircraft and helicopters, as well as military equipment for customers abroad.

The agreements signed by the companies of the Rostec State Corporation reach an amount of more than 3 billion dollars (about 230 billion rubles). Specifically, these agreements are aimed at supplying airplanes and helicopters, financing aircraft production, components for the aircraft, and infrastructure projects. In addition, agreements were signed for the supply of military equipment for foreign clients.

The total number of aircraft agreed to supply by Rostec amounts to 161. UAC, for its part, signed agreements for the delivery of 58 Sukhoi Superjet 100s and 19 Il-114-300s turboprops.

Another manufacturer is Russian Helicopters, who signed agreements for the delivery of 84 helicopters, among which is its brand new Mi-171A3, specially designed for offshore operations and oil platforms. In addition to the Ka-62, Mi-38, Mi-8 and the Ansat light helicopter.

Regarding the financing of the production of new helicopters and aircraft, ‘Novikombank’ signed the agreements and formed a strategic partnership with the Composite Valley Innovation Science and Technology Center.

In the framework of these announcements and presentations by Rostec, its director Sergey Chemezov mentioned how important the MAKS has become in presenting the latest Russian developments and manufactures to the entire community of the airline industry, both civil and military.

In addition, and referring to the company’s production, he commented that Rostec presented around 500 product samples at the air show, including around 50 new products: airplanes, helicopters, UAVs, avionics, engines and much more.

Among them is the new Sukhoi Checkmate tactical aircraft, the introduction of which became a global event. «The results of the air show exceeded all expectations: our companies signed agreements with partners worth more than 230 billion rubles.»
