At 10:00 in the morning of this Friday, the official inaugural flight of Lattitude Hub, the new Canarian airline carried out by a consortium of 14 hoteliers from the archipelago together with One Airways, is scheduled to take off from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.

Upon arrival in Tenerife South, scheduled for 11:45 local time, a press conference will be held in the Assembly Hall of the airport in which will participate the members of the Management Committee, Miguel Villarroya and Óscar Trujillo; the Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, Yaiza Castilla; and the president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín.
Lattitude Hub aims to promote the tourism business in the Canary Islands. And, despite the fact that the project has been in the making for five years, the post-pandemic emerged as an ideal time to facilitate the arrival of tourists as much as possible.

The schedule of frequencies and starting dates as can be seen in the reservation system is as follows:
- Barcelona – two weekly flights, Monday and Friday from August 2.
- Bilbao – a weekly flight on Thursdays from July 29.
- Madrid – five weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays starting on August 1.
- Vigo – a weekly flight on Sundays starting on July 25.
It was also reported last week that Seville, Malaga and Valladolid would be covered, but at the time of this publication they are not listed on the website (more details will likely be provided after the inaugural flight).
The flights are carried out with an Airbus A319 aircraft with capacity for 144 passengers.
The airline launched the commercialization of tickets last week through lattitudehub.com and travel agencies, and these will include catering, check-in of a suitcase of up to 23 kg and choice of seat. In addition, in the coming weeks the possibility of acquiring a hotel package along with the flight will be included in order to obtain more competitive prices. Special rates will be offered for residents in the Canary Islands once the Ministry of Development completes the necessary procedures for this.
