Embraer: sales and deliveries in the second quarter

Embraer announced this Wednesday (21) that it has delivered a total of 34 jets in the second quarter of 2021 (2Q21), of which 14 are commercial and 20 are executive (12 light and 8 large) according to what was reported by our partner site in brazil Aeroin.net.

These numbers ​​represent an improvement over the previous quarter, when deliveries had been 22 aircraft: 9 commercial and 13 executive (ten light and three large), totaling 23 commercial and 33 executives (twenty-two light) in the first half of 2021. Regarding the aircraft ordered as of June 30, 2021, the firm order book (backlog) totaled USD 15.9 billion, which represents an increase of 12% compared to the first quarter and signifies the expected return to pre-pandemic levels .

The orders to be delivered include 141 E175 and 3 E190 aircraft, plus 162 E2 series aircraft: 5 E190s and 157 E195s, giving a total of 306 units.

The current order book includes the contract for 30 E195-E2 aircraft from Porter Airlines, Canada, which was initially reported as an «undisclosed» customer on April 29 and released to the market on July 12.

Quarter highlights

During 2Q21, the Swiss airline Helvetic Airways received the first of four new E195-E2 aircraft. The company ordered 12 E2 E-Jets to begin the fleet renewal: eight E190-E2 aircraft (already in service) and four E195-E2 (conversions from the original E190-E2 order), plus purchase rights for an additional 12 aircraft.

In executive aviation, during the quarter, Embraer delivered the 600th Phenom 300 to Superior Capital Holdings, LLC, based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States. Embraer also delivered the first limited edition Duet Phenom 300E aircraft, developed in collaboration with Porsche, to an undisclosed customer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Embraer carried out the first conversion of a Legacy 450 jet to Praetor 500 in Brazil. The conversion was carried out at Embraer’s own Service Center in Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo. With this delivery, Embraer has already converted a total of 20 Legacy 450 aircraft into Praetor 500 aircraft in Europe, North America and Brazil.
