Venezuela and Qatar advance in an agreement to establish flights

Through the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela seeks to strengthen an agreement with the Qatari Ambassador in its country to discuss the possibility of flights between the two states.

The Venezuelan Aeronautical Authority, under the command of its president Juan Teixeira Díaz, held meetings with the Qatari Ambassador, Rashid Mohsin A.R. Fetais, with the intention of implementing a new air transport service that connects the two countries, generating new opportunities for both nations.

The Deputy Minister of Air Transport of the MPPT and the president of Conviasa, Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán, participated in the meeting: «From the airline, and on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, we express our great interest in the prompt inauguration of a Qatar- Venezuela route, to encourage the economy and tourism between the two nations,» the company´s president expressed.

Juan Teixeira Díaz also made his contribution: «Thanks to the cooperation agreements, we can work hand by hand to strengthen the air transport service between Qatar and Venezuela. This is a new opportunity that we must take advantage of.»

Finally, this was said by Rashid Mohsin A.R. Fetais: «As a representative of Qatar, I see a great opportunity to establish all cooperation with Venezuela, the heart of Latin America, and thus encourage tourism. Count on our full disposition»
