Spirit Airlines plans to resume flights between Orlando and Cartagena

Spirit Airlines plans to resume operations between Orlando and Cartagena, according to information published in Cirium. The airline programs to operate nonstop flights between the two cities from September 11th with Airbus A320neos, configured with 182 seats.

Spirit currently has services to Cartagena to and from New York on Airbus A319s, Airbus A320s and Airbus A321s. This operations have a daily frequency, offering more than 5,200 monthly seats in both sections.

Cartagena International Airport «Rafael Núñez» has flights to Fort Lauderdale, Miami and New York. In addition to Spirit’s new flights from Orlando, JetBlue will inaugurate its non-stop operations to Newark in August, with three weekly frequencies on Airbus A320-200s.

With this schedule of operations Spirit Airlines will offer 364 weekly seats between Orlando and Cartagena and vice versa. Until January 2021, the airline had the same number of seats and frequencies per week.

  • Miami – Cartagena: American Airlines.
  • Newark – Cartagena: JetBlue (August).
  • New York – Cartagena: JetBlue.
  • Orlando – Cartagena: Spirit Airlines (September).
