Avianca enhances the recovery of its flights to the United States

The second largest airline in Latin America announced that in July it will add three weekly flights to its Bogotá – Miami – Bogotá route, reaching some 26,000 seats offered and more than 70 weekly frequencies.

At the moment, the programming observed through Cirium by Aviacionline indicates 48 weekly flights and 10,008 seats. Considering the connections between Miami and Barranquilla, Cali and Medellín, the figure reaches 82 flights and more than 16,000 seats.

The holding’s total offer in Miami to and from other bases such as San Salvador, San Pedro Sula and San José (CR) consists of 116 weekly flights and 21,630 seats.

But Avianca’s network in the United States goes further, and will also reach New York, Orlando, Washington, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco, totaling 376 weekly flights and 62,255 seats.

The crisis unleashed by the pandemic pushed the company to file for Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Law, to start a restructuring plan that has allowed it to sustain itself and face this stage of recovery.

Recently, the airline had also announced the resumption of its flights from Bogotá to Brazil, Bolivia, Panama and routes between destinations in Central America that had been suspended as a result of the pandemic.

«Tourism between Colombia and the United States is active, also this country has always been attractive to our travelers, and that is why we continue to respond to the demand and requirements of those who wish to fly easily, safely, at competitive prices, and of course with a remarkable service. In addition to having a wide network of direct connections, we offer services such as the free and discounted PCR test with our partner laboratory SynLab in Colombia, according to the ticket and test options chosen by our clients,» concluded Ana María Copete, Director of Sales Colombia.
