Through an internal statement, the LATAM Group announced that, as part of the restructuring of its wide-body fleet, it will stop operating its eleven Airbus A350s and will consolidate its long-haul operations with the Boeing 767, 777, and 787.
The Brazilian subsidiary had 16 A350s registered and had 11 in its inventory after the transfer to Qatar Airways of five A350-900s.
The company indicated that it made the decision with the aim of operating a smaller and more homogeneous fleet, as well as “guaranteeing an efficient operation to go through this period of lower demand for seats in our international supply, a stage that will take longer than expected. recuperate.”
LATAM assured that this restructuring does not imply the dismissal of the company’s crew “in the short term,” since it faced more urgent readjustments last year.
