Eastern Airlines gets to Europe: it will connect Chicago with Sarajevo

It was officially known that Eastern Airlines will inaugurate its first regular route to Europe from the United States in May. The North American company will start flying to Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

The operations, which will start on May 28, will be carried out on the Boeing 767-200 (ER) and Boeing 767-300 (ER), configured with 218 and 244 seats respectively.

In addition to inaugurating a new destination like Sarajevo, Eastern Airlines will also begin regular flights from Chicago. It will be the fifth city in the United States where the company has operations.

Since operations began in January 2020, the company had 100% of its regular operations in the American continent. Ecuador is Eastern´s main market.

May and June will be important for the airline, as it plans to start several routes between the United States and Latin America, in addition to Sarajevo. Its 2 Boeing 777-200 (ER), a recent addition to Eastern’s fleet, will also start operating in May.
