Flybondi Will Resume its Flights to São Paulo in April

Argentinian low-cost Flybondi stopped flying between Buenos Aires El Palomar and Sao Paulo- Guarulhos in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline had four weekly flights  on their Boeing 737-800, with a capacity for 189 passengers.

Before mid-March, Flybondi had six international routes from El Palomar International Airport. Four of these six destinations were to Brazil, while the rest were to Paraguay (Asuncion) and Uruguay (Punta del Este).

  • Buenos Aires El Palomar – Asuncion, Paraguay: 3 weekly flights.
  • Buenos Aires El Palomar – Porto Alegre, Brazil: 3 weekly flights.
  • Buenos Aires El Palomar – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: 4 weekly flights.
  • Buenos Aires El Palomar – Sao Paulo, Brazil: 4 weekly flights.
  • Buenos Aires El Palomar – Florianopolis, Brazil: 3 weekly flights (seasonal flights).
  • Buenos Aires El Palomar – Punta del Este, Uruguay: 4 weekly flights (seasonal flights).

During this year, Flybondi planned to increase international routes from Argentina to the region, but the COVID-19 pandemic put all plans on hold. Some new routes that the low cost had the intention to start were Lima (Peru), Montevideo (Uruguay), and Santiago, Chile.

According to GDS data obtained by Aviacionline, Flybondi will resume operations between Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo from April 2, 2021. Argentinian low cost will operate 4 flights per week between El Palomar and Guarulhos.

Originally, Flybondi programmed to resume flights between Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo from January 4, but they postponed the restart to April.
